It instantly became a club classic that had people running to dance floors all across America. The song started on the radio in Atlanta in early 2006 and then eventually took off, peaking at number one on the Billboard R&B singles. This single features an instantly recognizable bangin’ beat, a signature T-Pain hook and a hot, lyrical flow from Flo Rida.ĭescribing how the song broke nationwide, DJ Montay said, "It started with DJ Khaled in Miami and I was playing it here in the ATL, and it took off from there."īy 2006 DJ Montay assembled an impressive list of production credits, but it was the smash hit single "Walk it Out," produced for fellow Oomp Camp member Unk, that solidified him as a household name. "Low" has topped every chart including: iTunes, Billboard’s Top Digital download, Billboard Pop singles, Billboard Top R&B/ Rap singles, Billboard Top Rap singles, and countless others. It also helped Montay secure a Producer of the Year nomination at the Ozone Awards as well as several BMI music awards. "Low" stood at the number one spot for 10 weeks on the Billboard singles chart, and was one of the biggest songs of 2008, with 450,000 digital downloads in one week and earning two Grammy nominations. His most successful claim to fame is producing the number one smash hit "Low" by Flo Rida featuring T-Pain. Montay Humphrey exploded with back to back Top 10 hits in 2008 alone. ![]() Artists all over the country know that if they want to secure a mega hit, all they have to do is contact super-producer DJ Montay. ![]() ![]() ![]() With my city founded I immediately started production on a monument and research on calendar (via pottery). This was a relief, as it meant I could avoid falling behind on the early production and research. I was able to found my city on the very first turn the great city of Istanbul. Grasslands for farming, coastal waters for gold, food, and the eventual navy I would need, and good access to a decent selection of resources and luxuries. The tundra hex to the SW of my settler looked like a promising spot - equidistant between the hills I could then see - and moving my settler there just sealed the deal. In addition, this uncovered ruins across the bay, which meant I could count on at least one early boost. Another hill, this one with gold, meant even better production and another luxury. ![]() Upon moving my warrior to the SE, however, the situation only improved. In a one city game, city placement is crucial, and I was worried that I would have to spend several turns scouting the area to find an ideal spot. And the hill gave hope that I would not suffer too badly for production. The furs meant I would have at least one early luxury for happiness and trading, as well as the gold income I knew would be key. The snow and tundra told me that I was near the edge of the map, which would be a great help to remaining unnoticed for as long as possible. With my settler spawning one hex to the north-east of my final city location, and my warrior one hex north-east of that, I could already see snow, tundra, a hill to the west, and furs. Though I didn't fully appreciate just how good it was at the time, there were promising indicators early on. My starting placement, however, was fantastically fortuitous for my goal. The leader bonuses were not particularly helpful for a cultural win, but the barbarian navy could prove helpful for my defensive strategy. ![]() I spawned as Suleiman of the Ottomans, a choice that was fairly neutral to my goals. Everything else was left standard: standard map size, standard game pace, all civs (including mine) left to random chance, and a difficulty of prince (normal). ![]() I knew from previous games that a few well-trained naval units could hold-off mass invading armies. I knew that defense was going to be the most pressing issue while attempting this goal, so I hedged my bets just a bit by picking an archipelago map type. And with the one city achievement sitting there taunting me, I decided, why not, I'll go all-in and see if I can pull off the one city cultural victory. Once my Great and Bountiful British Empire of North America reached the stars before any other civilization, it was time to start up yet another game to try for a cultural victory. The streamlined gameplay makes multiple game runs a much more viable option now, since even late-game empire management does not devolve into the arduous stack management and city micro of previous iterations. After having played several games where I aimed for good 'ole military domination, I decided to branch out and try for the other victory conditions (the associated achievements had nothing to do with the decision, I swear!). All of the core gameplay I know and love is in there, and the new hex system and non-stacking combat units make for much more interesting strategic decisions about combat and city placement (in particular, chokepoints in the terrain, such as mountain ranges and lakes, are much more important as natural borders). I've been playing Civilization 5 recently, and enjoying every minute of it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You can see s flag over the base camp beside Copper Mill Yard. Who knew where they would take the series next? Well, this nice little HD compilation gives us a few clues, offering up a terrific game that would serve as a precursor to the popular “VS” series, and a great crossover title that would serve as the shape of things to come.įirst up, let me tell you what you get for 1200 Microsoft Points. Thankfully, by the time they were looking into producing a follow up game, Capcom had evened things out a bit and introduced some winning new gameplay flourishes to keep things interesting. The SEGA Saturn port may as well have had a sticker on it saying “JUST SELECT JUGGERNAUT”, so overpowered was the humongous sub-boss character now selectable in the home versions. It featured a great selection of X-Men and their foes, in a game which whilst totally kicking ass from a design point of view, with voice actors from the X-Men animated series, and some superb X-Power special moves, was woefully unbalanced. X-Men: Children of the Atom was the first 2D fighter of this ilk, and followed the same gameplay style as original Capcom IP like Street Fighter II and Darkstalkers. Seeing how well Frank Castle had mixed it up with their side-scrolling gameplay, Capcom decided that their other strong suit – the one on one fighter – would be the perfect platform for more Marvel-based fun times. The CP System Dash hardware, which was a Q-Sound-enhanced version of their classic CPS-1 board, was home to three excellent comic-based fighters, the other two being the sublime manga adaptation Tenchi Wo Kurau II and the still-ace Cadillacs & Dinosaurs. Rather than try and re-invent the wheel, Capsule slotted Punisher and Nick Fury into their successful scrolling fighter template that had served them so well with the likes of Captain Commando and Final Fight. It was Gerry Conway’s brutal Punisher who starred in Capcom’s first foray into comic-book tie-ins. Since they started working with Marvel back in 1993, Capcom have had a far better strike rate when it comes to adapting the characters created by the likes of Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko and Gerry Conway. Superman movie or Neversoft Spider-Man banger, there have been atrocities like Superman 64, Batman Forever and Ang Lee’s emo Hulk movie. For every Dark Knight, Richard Donner’s O.G. Big hitters like Batman, Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk and Superman have had mixed fortunes when they have been adapted to other non-print media. ![]() Reviewed On: Xbox 360 via Xbox LIVE ArcadeĬomic book adaptations are notoriously controversial, in that the source materials are often held in such high regard by fans, that getting something wrong can lead to disapproval on a massive scale. ![]() ![]() ![]() It is reported that they went intense training playing violin and piano for their respective roles and it paid off well as their performance is believable, which is important to be called a good adaptation and they nailed it in this department. Great acting from both Kento and Suzu, you can tell that they come a long way especially Suzu but now I can say they are capable of portraying complicated characters. I like the ending song as well, I don't understand japanese but its melody captures the ambiance of the movie. Music is given to be excellent but what I am surprised is how well they play the instruments, one movie come to mind that could rival this in terms of the skills of playing the instruments in a movie and that is Jay Chou's "Secret". With that theme conveyed so well only made their performances so much better, technically they are already brilliant but with so much emotions attached to the performance made that scene EPIC.Ĭinematography is beautiful, it is one of those colorful Japanese movies, seems to be the trend nowadays. Now for the thing that I really like, the theme in the movie, I love how the movie conveys their connection thru music, I felt that it is so romantic like it is their love letter for each other, and just like the phrase they say to each other "will it reach you?". But sadly I felt that the story was told in a simplistic way like there are not enough tensions and characters are a bit one dimensional that made me hard to care for them sometimes.īefore watching I already knew the this would be a sad story but at the same time I am confident that I would not cry, I am kind of immune to that since I've seen a lot of sad movies, and I am right, I didn't cry, but that doesn't mean the story is NOT sad cause it is, but I felt that that they made the ending bitter sweet because based on how people describe the anime it would have been a cry fest. ![]() I don't feel that the pacing is rushed so it didn't end up confusing and each scenes are so vital to the story like If you remove one the story will be affected so in that sense the movie didn't became draggy. I haven't seen the anime so I can't compare, I don't know how faithful adaptation it is but I really like what I've seen. Rewatch Value 8.0 So I finally got the time to watch this movie, which they show in cinemas in our country for good of one week, and I watched it on its last day so I barely made it LOL. ![]() |
